Welcome to my first blog showing a look into the way I create my ceramic pieces, in these monthly blogs I will show you a variety of different areas in my working process including - new pieces in progress, glaze research, various processes in the task of creating ceramic pieces.

At the minute I have been creating various new ceramic pieces exploring merging the idea of my intricate nature inspired sculptures with functional and decorative home ware pieces.

The bowl to the left is purely decorative, this piece has just been made and is at the green ware stage.

A sneaky peak inside the kiln to some of my newest explorations where the detail is more selective.

*I love how you can stack together lots of pieces in a bisque kiln, its like playing Jenga or in this case stacking Russian dolls!

I'm exploring with my glaze testing playing with lots of gorgeous colours, here's just a few.

In my designing process I create many slightly different versions of my pieces, Id like you to join in my poll to help me with my designing process by telling me which design you like the best!

Here is 5 different mugs I have created, the decoration is different on each one, either with the placement of the decoration or has more decoration.

*they are at bisqueware stage so no glaze or colour yet
