Information I Collect

The personal data I collect from you includes:

  • Questions, queries or feedback you leave, including your email address if you contact Katherine Fortnum Ceramics through www.katherinefortnumceramics.com  or directly

  • Your email address when you sign up to my email newsletter

  • how you use my emails - for example whether you open them and which links you click on

  • your Internet Protocol (IP) address, and details of which version of web browser you used

The legal basis for processing this data is to perform a task in the public interest that is set out in law and is

statute based.

  • To fulfil your order, you must provide me with certain information (which you provide to me), such as your name, email address, postal address, payment information, and the details of the product that you’re ordering. You may also choose to provide me with additional personal information (for a custom order for example), if you contact me directly.

 

Why I Need Your Information and How I Use It

I use your information to provide the services you requested and in my legitimate interest to improve my services; and 2) Compliance with the Etsy & Folksy Seller Policy and Terms of Use. I use your information as necessary to comply with my obligations under the Etsy & Folksy Seller Policy and Terms of Use.

 

I use Google Analytics software to collect information about how you use katherinefortnumceramics.com  I do this to help make sure the website is meeting the needs of its users and to help me make improvements, for example improving site search.

Google Analytics stores information about:

  • the pages you visit on katherinefortnumceramics.com

  • how long you spend on each katherinefortnumceramics.com page

  • how you got to the site

  • what you click on while you’re visiting the site

I do not collect or store your personal information (for example your name or address) so this information cannot be used to identify who you are.

Information about my customers is important to my business. I share your personal information for very limited reasons and in limited circumstances, as follows:

Data Retention

  • it is needed for the purposes set out in this document

  • if I am the required by law

In general, this means that I will only hold your personal data for a minimum of 1 year and a maximum of 10 years.

I retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with my services and as described in my Privacy Policy. However, I may also be required to retain this information to comply with my legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce my agreements. I generally keep your data for the following time period: 10 years.

Children’s privacy protection

My services are not designed for, or intentionally targeted at, children 13 years of age or younger without a supervising adult. I do not intentionally collect or maintain data about anyone under the age of 13.

Where your data is processed and stored

I run my computer to make sure that your data is as safe as possible at any stage, both while it’s processed and when it’s stored.

How I protect your data and keep it secure

I am committed to doing all that I can to keep your data secure. I have set up systems to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure of your data.

You can object to (i) my processing of some of your information based on my legitimate interests and (ii) receiving marketing messages from me after providing your express consent to receive them. In such cases, I will delete your personal information unless I have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons.

  • Complain. If you reside in the EU and wish to raise a concern about my use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.
