Clay Is Therapy

This week is Mental Health Awareness Week. A gentle reminder to be kind to yourself and put yourself first. This week we should think of things that bring us joy, things that make life a little easier, and reduce our worries.

Find your calm, find something that makes you smile, something that eases life’s worries.

It’s easy to forget ourselves in our busy day to day, but it’s ok to think about yourself too. Never forget that.

For me walks in nature are essential, they bring me serenity and break away from busyness. Playing with clay is the other. Working with clay is so therapeutic, I cannot recommend it enough. When I’m making my worries melt away, I become lost in the moment and hours flash by without a care in the world. I find it calming, and it not only helps me mentally but physically too. It’s difficult to shut out the noise and bustle of the world with a brain injury, but clay has been my saviour

I hope during Mental Health Awareness Week you find your calm too. …perhaps give clay a go, you never know what works for you until you try it!
