Get hands-on with clay at this Ceramics Workshop with award-winning degree qualified ceramicist Katherine Fortnum, who has 10+ years’ experience.

Join us for a full day immersed in Christmassy clay magic! You’ll begin your morning welcomed by Katherine as you’re led to the studio ready to begin your festive creativity.

​

During the morning you shall be shown a demonstration of how to create Christmas trees on the Miniature Pottery Wheel. Fast, fun, sometimes flying clay, they’ll be laughs all round! From there you’ll get stuck in creating your own set, mix up the height width to create an array of miniature trees to add to your winter décor. From there you’ll decorate your trees with colour adding baubles and tinsel lines.

We’ll stop for lunch, and then afterwards choose between a glass of warm mulled wine or hot chocolate and a mince pie as Katherine tells you about her ceramics journey, followed by a Q&A session on all things ceramics.

​

Next up you’ll delve into the world of hand built ceramics, where options are limitless! Katherine will demonstrate a wide variety of techniques to get your creative juices flowing, from which you can explore and create your own bespoke array of festive ceramics.

Options include - Christmas tree decorations, gift tags, wall plaques, wall décor, coasters, magnets, candle holders, luminaries, ceramic diffuser discs, clocks, bunting, incense holders, Santa stop here sign, free standing plaques, trinket trays…

Handmade goodies for you or gifts for loved ones if you can part with them!

At the end you’ll have a selection of wheel thrown miniature Christmas trees and a selection of festive hand built goodies built, designed and decorated by yourself.
