These sessions are great for couples and friends alike. I tailor a unique workshop experience around you and what you’d like to create and achieve in the session, I will be there to help and support you step by step along the way .
You can create whatever you desire out of clay; each attendee will create the same item but you will come away with something unique as each person will create using their imagination. You will hand make an item out of clay and add colour & decoration within the workshop; I will then dry and fire the ceramic pieces.

Get hands-on with clay together at this Private Ceramics Workshop with award-winning degree qualified ceramicist Katherine Fortnum, who has 10+ years’ experience.
In these sessions you’ll get to experience clay as you’ve never tried before!
FAST, SPINNING, SQUIDGY CLAY, but even better, IN MINIATURE FORM!
During the bespoke session, you’ll be guided through the skills you need to create your own set of unique miniature pottery pots on the wheel that will immerse you in your ceramics experience. Throughout the session, Katherine will provide you with bespoke personalised one to one tuition
- Classes can be for one to four attendees

Private parties
Hire out my ceramics studio for a private party for you and your friends, whether it’s a birthday, get together, or hen/stag do I can tailor a workshop party experience for you and your guests.

Group away workshops & parties
I run away workshops where I come to you (I only travel locally).
The workshop can be for up to as many as you can get around a table at home or if you wanted to hire out a room/village hall or wherever you wish for up to 60 attendees.
For a group each participant will create whatever you desire out of clay, for example you may want to create a hanging decoration; each attendee will create the same item but will come away with something unique as each individual will create using their imagination. They will hand make an item out of clay and add colour & decoration within the workshop; I will then dry and fire the ceramic pieces.
Ceramics Workshops & courses do not run on specific dates, date and time availability is flexible- weekdays, evenings, weekends and bank holidays; so workshops can be booked at a date & time to suit you.
Workshops run for 2-6 hours.
Workshop prices vary depending on the time length and the number of attendees.
Price is based on ‘Up to’ 10/20/30/40/50/60 attendees.

Online zoom workshops
I run online workshops where I bring my ceramic studio to you, you will create in the comfort of your own home!
As with in person workshops I want to make sure that each attendee still receives the one to one support throughout the session, therefore I limit the attendees to 15 maximum.
For a group each participant will create whatever you desire out of clay, for example you may want to create a hanging decoration; each attendee will create the same item but will come away with something unique as each individual will create using their imagination. They will hand make an item out of clay and add colour & decoration within the workshop; I will then dry and fire the ceramic pieces.
Ceramics Workshops & courses do not run on specific dates, date and time availability is flexible- weekdays, evenings, weekends and bank holidays; so workshops can be booked at a date & time to suit you.

You will need a paid zoom account (or other online service) so that the sessions can run for the time length e.g. 2 hours plus another 15-20 minutes to allow for introductions at the start and discussions at the end.
I will provide each attendee with a kit with tools and the materials, you may be required to collect things found around your home to use also.
